Honey is a key flavour in these can’t-stop-at-one treats, so choose your favourite David Jones Honey variety.
Salted honey-almond bliss balls

125g David Jones Honey
50g coconut oil
Finely grated rind and juice of 1 orange
1 tsp sea salt flakes
1 tsp vanilla bean extract
250g David Jones Almonds
130g pitted Medjool dates
120g shredded coconut or coconut flakes
2 tbsp cacao nibs
2 tbsp cacao powder
Shredded coconut or coconut flakes, extra, to serve

1. Place the honey in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Cook for 2-3 mins or until lightly caramelised. Remove from heat. Stir in coconut oil, orange rind, orange juice, salt and vanilla until combined.
2. Place almonds and dates in a food processor and pulse until combined. Transfer to a bowl. Add the coconut, cacao nibs, cacao powder and honey mixture and stir until well combined.
3 Roll the mixture into walnut-sized balls. Place on a baking tray. Place the extra coconut and extra cacao powder in separate shallow bolls. Roll each ball in coconut or cacao. Place in the refrigerator for 30 mins to set. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
