Witchery has teamed up with designer Michael Lo Sordo and 13 inspiring women for this year’s White Shirt Campaign.
Now in its 14th year, the White Shirt Campaign sees retail powerhouse Witchery join forces with the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) to shine a light on a very worthy cause.
Tapping into Michael Lo Sordo’s knack for creating pieces that will be loved for a lifetime, this year’s White Shirt proves the power of simplicity. With a single chest pocket and curved hem, it’s a timeless staple for every woman’s wardrobe.
“Having admired the campaign for many years, it gives me an immense sense of pride to contribute to an exceptionally worthy cause. I hope this White Shirt can provide support and strength to the beautiful women who are affected by or fighting this disease.”

Some of Australia’s most inspiring women showcase this year’s White Shirt and shed light on just how important supporting the OCRF is. See Lisa Wilkinson, Jesinta Franklin, Julie Bishop, Maria Thattil, Thelma Plum, Laura Byrne, Brittany Hockley, Emma Watkins, Allison Langdon, Hanan Ibrahim, Francesca Hung, Kylie Gillies and OCRF ambassador Jordan Turner dressed in their White Shirt’s and armed with the facts in the campaign video, below.
Not only is this year’s White Shirt a chance to pick up a piece of Lo Sordo’s master craftsmanship, it’s also a way to aid vital research into ovarian cancer, which is now considered the most lethal gynaecological cancer there is.
Over the years, Witchery, via the OCRF, has raised more than $14 million through the White Shirt Campaign, making it the single largest funder of ovarian cancer early detection research in Australia.
Research into early detection is crucial as ovarian cancer is a disease that’s currently only detectable with invasive surgery. Early stages have little to no recognisable symptoms, which is why most women are only diagnosed in advanced stages of the disease. Unfortunately, one woman dies every eight hours from ovarian cancer in Australia.
Through its White Shirt Campaign, Witchery is committed to pledging funds to develop an early detection test for ovarian cancer that is as readily available and as accessible as, say, a pap smear or mammogram.
Mark your calendars: Sunday 8 May is Witchery White Shirt Day and World Ovarian Cancer Day. Although, we think every day is perfect for wearing your heart (and your support) on your sleeve.
The 2022 Witchery White Shirt is available to shop now via Witchery and David Jones, with 100 per cent of gross proceeds donated to the OCRF.
