David Jones’ theme of the season is “In The Moment”, how do your children ground you in the now?
The only way to connect with children is to be in the now, getting down to their level, understanding their passions and motivations, it’s all so wonderful.
What’s one parallel you can draw between yourself and your own mother?
Our love for cooking and gardening.
What have you learned about yourself through motherhood?
That this is what I was born to be and do, this is where I thrive and feel the most myself, the most comfortable, being a mother is my comfort zone. I didn’t realise I had this much tolerance and patience.
Since having children, how have you approached your career?
Balance, working smarter and keeping my priorities straight.
The fashion from our Mother’s Day campaign was playful, vibrant and unexpected; sentiments that feel childlike in themselves. As a mother of three, how has your relationship with fashion changed over the years?
I dress with timeless ease and for comfort, adding a spark in there to make my kids think I’m a cool mum.
What does making time for yourself look like as a mother?
Organising and planning, I keep a tight schedule now, which makes everything flow and gives me peace of mind.
What can we learn from our kids?
Everything if we tune in.
